CEIF Receives NSF Research Experience and Mentoring (REM) grant award!

The NSF IUCRC Center for Environmental Sustainability through Insect Farming (CEIF) has been awarded an additional National Science Foundation (NSF) Research Experience and Mentoring (REM) Program grant! With this grant, CEIF will engage with the Aggie ACHIEVE program at Texas A&M University as well as the Mississippi State ACCESS program to engage candidates in CEIF research projects.

With this grant, Aggie ACHIEVE and MSU ACCESS will:

  • Expand the existing Aggie ACHIEVE and MSU ACCESS programs with the NSF CEIF to create a model that promotes high-quality, inclusive postsecondary education for students with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) that focuses on STEM education and research.

  • Prepare Aggie ACHIEVE and MSU ACCESS students for outcomes fostering a comprehensive and meaningful quality of life, including academic achievement, independent living, integrated employment, self-determination, and active community participation through science.
